Whilst in Livingstone you will have plenty of time to explore the town and perhaps take advantage of the numerous activities and sports in the area. Here are just a few recommendations!

  • Victoria Falls: Enough said really. It’s one of the 7 wonders of the Natural World and the spray can be seen for miles around. Definitely worth a visit! Entry cost: (roughly $20).
  • White Water Rafting through the Batoka Gorge: At low water (between August and January) this is internationally recognised as the best one day rafting in the world! It’s a grade 5 river with huge rapids and waves, an absolutely brilliant day out.
  • Lion Encounters: Walk with lions and lion cubs in either Victoria Falls (Zim) or Livingstone (Zam). Must be booked in advance.
  • Elephant Back Trails: Take a ride on the wild side with an elephant ride through the national park or just walk with then as they wonder in the bush.
  • Upper Zambezi Canoeing: Canoeing on the upper Zambezi, a stunning full or half day at ease with the river and wildlife.
  • Zambezi River Cruises: Sunset Cruise up the Zambezi River next Mosi-oa-tunya National Park with the chance to see giraffe, elephants, rhinos, hippos, zebras and crocodiles.
  • Helicopter Flights: Take an aerial view of the falls and the park!
  • Bungee Jumps: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 BUNGI! Jump of the bridge between Zambia and Zimbabwe and truly come face to face with the falls with 111 meters of pure African adrenaline!
  • Horse Trails: There is a selection of short horse trails for novice riders plus multi-day safaris for experienced riders.
  • Fishing Trips: Spend a day on the magnificent Upper Zambezi River, pitting your skills against the vivacious Tiger Fish and delicious bream as well as various other fish that the Zambezi has to offer.
  • Game Drives: Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park is a small but bustling wildlife sanctuary on the banks of the Zambezi. The park is home to 2 white rhino plus various antelope, buffalo, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra and elephants plus a rich array of bird life.
